Luisa Valenzuela

Luisa Valenzuela was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1946. She is one of the most renowned writers in Latin American literature today.
She tells us that she has been writing since she was born. Ever since she was very small she has had a keen interest in many different things, and the only way she can relate them all together is by putting them down on paper. She began as a journalist at the age of 17, but has also published six novels and four books of short stories for adults.

This story, written especially for the EnCuento series, is Luisa's first book for children. In her story Otrariana, a girl must confront her most secret fears, but unlike the adults in the story, she is brave enough to face up to them. This is a story that will truly make you think.
