Silvia Molina

When I was a girl I wanted to be either a dancer or a singer; however, when I grew up, I realized that communicating with other people in writing was much more appealing. Through my writing I could tell others about things that had happened to me or things I imagined. I thought it was simply marvelous to be able to transform reality into something different. That´s why I write, because it is a way of dreaming.

So far I have written several books for adults and others that are for children. With both kinds of writing I have been lucky enough to receive prizes, encouraging me to continue writing with greater dedication and responsibility. Writing for boys and girls is difficult but fun; it's a bit like making mischief. And a lot of that mischief was written for my two daughters. I also publish books for children written by other authors, and I love to read and to go to the cinema and the theater, because that tells me that everything is a reflection of real life..

Silvia Molina is the author of Mi abuelita tiene ruedas.
