Laura Antillano

I started liking stories and candy when I was a child. To me, stories and sweets both fill the world with magic and enchantment. I can lose myself in them as if they were my real home.

When I grew older, it occurred to me that I, too, could try writing stories about the things that happened around me (and the things that didn't happen, too). I used to write in my notebooks (in the back pages) and around the edges of the newspaper. I even made up newspaper-notebooks telling about what happened to me every day.

I published my first book of stories when I was 18, and writing has been a way of life for me ever since. It is my way of relating to the things and people around me. I think I will always write, just as I will always keep on eating and sleeping and all the things one does until the end of one's days. Laura Antillano is the author of Una vaca querida.
