Claribel Alegría

Born in Estela, Nicaragua in 1924, Claribel Alegría has lived in El Salvador for so long that she considers herself a Salvadorian. After studying arts and humanities at university, she went on to a career as a writer. Although mostly a writer of poetry and short novels for adults, she has also published a book for children.

El niño que buscaba a ayer is a story which explores a child's anxiety about the passing of time, but at the same time offers a solution.
