Alberto Forcada

Some people say I was born in Mexico City the same year that man landed on the moon, but they're wrong. Actually I first saw the light of day in Cuernavaca, when a rooster pecked my leg.

I spent nearly half my childhood years in England, where I learned to read, to ride, to ice skate, and to eat boiled eggs with a spoon.
When I moved back to Mexico I played marbles, chased mice, and turned over stones to find spiders. I had a little laboratory on the roof of my house, where I studied insects and tickled frogs.

Then my mother died and I was very upset. My teenage years were troubled, full of blows, arguments and tears, until I discovered the healing powers of love and literature.

It has taken me many years to make my peace with the world, but now I feel happy whenever I hug someone or write a story.

I am the author of Despertar, Pequeño cuento de horror and
La imaginación al poder.
